Master Massengill is the founder and Director of the Ip Man Wing Chun Union.
Massengill has over 42 Years of experience in the Martial Arts with over 30 of
those years dedicated to the Ip Man Wing Chun system.
In 2005 he was certified at a Master Instructor level under the direct
Ip Family Lineage.
He is the author of two books on the Ip Man system, one of which carried
the full endorsement of Ip Man's sons, both of whom wrote forewords for
the book. That book "Mastering Wing Chun - The Keys to Ip Man's Kung Fu"
was placed in the Ip Man Museum in Foshan, China in Sep, 2007.
Massengill is recognised as one of the foremost experts in the Western world,
on the Ip Man Wing Chun system as passed directly through the lineage of
BOTH of Ip Man's sons.

Sifu Lafayette is the Senior Instructor at the Home Base of the

Sifu Jeff has been a very dedicated student over many years.
He travels to the Yorktown Training Facility on a very regular basis from
the southside and assist students in their training. Sifu Jeff also accepts

Originally from the Upstate New York area of Saratoga Springs,
Jason has been training in martial arts since 1981. His studies in
Wing Chun started in 1987. Two years later he began traveling to
learn Jeet Kune Do. Also during this time, Jason boxed so that he
could gain ever more insight into Bruce Lee’s method. In 1991 he
began training in JKD under Sifu Lamar Davis, one of the great
JKD men of our time.
In 1994, Jason moved to Greenville, South Carolina where he
began teaching in a space only 400 square feet as he continued
his studies and training.
Under the Biblical philosophy of “servant leadership” his schools
have grown considerably and he now teaches at Greenville
Academy of Martial Arts. It has also been his great privilege and
pleasure to work with fine private schools in the Greenville area
and bring the positive benefits of martial art training to an ever
wider audience.
He is happily devoted to his wife, Christine, and his son, Jake.
